I decided to interview my grandfather for this assignment. He is always telling me that the music I listen to is devil music so I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of music he listens to.
My grandfather used to tell me when I played the drums that I was playing Satan's music, but I remember one time I was playing Sweet Home Alabama by Lynard Skynard and he said, now you're playing the music that I like. When growing up he would always play Mexican music in his car, I would not be able to understand the lyrics and because I was young all I liked was what I already knew.
He told me that he likes the good stuff, and by that he means the stuff he listened to when he was growing up. Bands like The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and The Rolling Stones were a few that he mentioned.
He really does not enjoy the music of today, he said it was bland and unoriginal. It is the good music that sticks around forever, and so far the music of his generation has stood the test of time as it is still out in force today.
